At the Lodge
Should you want to see real rural New Zealand then Riverlands Lodge is the place to be. Tim and Becky have a 1,200 acre farm. The farm runs; 1,000 sheep, a Romney and Boarder Leister Stud, 1,000 dairy cows, 300 acres of crop and 4 farm dogs.Take advantage of the great fishing that the Rangitata offers. This is some of the best fishing in New Zealand and the lodge is conveniently located on the doorstep. If fishing is not your thing then a leisurely stroll among the banks of the river or a romantic moonlit evening exploring the beach may be.

Around the area
If you are into adventure then you are in luck. The Rangitata offers awesome white water rafting and canoeing. Canterbury is the home to a range of adventure activities, 20 minutes drive from the lodge is Lake Hood which hosts many water activities throughout the year, like rowing, speed boat racing and sailing competitions. Also around the region is Hot-Air ballooning, Parachute jumps, Mountain biking, Diving, Tramping and day walks. From Riverlands Lodge Tim and Becky can set your stay up to be full of adventure or some time-out. A private plane ride over the spectacular Southern Alps or Canterbury plains can also be arranged.
Only one hours drive away from the lodge is the internationally renowned Mt Hutt Ski Field. Mt Hutt is famous for having the longest and most consistent season in Australasia. Day trips with a 4 wheel drive can be arranged. Events Calendar
